The CH Foundation, which is the sole owner of the immediate headquarters property, began renovations on the historic site in August 2024. The renovations include the improvement of the entrance and roads, tree removal and trimming, restoration of the original windmill and water tank, and the clearing of debris. The original headquarters house, which was built in 1903 and considered one of the oldest structures in Hockley County, is dilapidated beyond repair and preservation. The National Ranching Heritage Center will be archiving various pieces of the old ranch house before it will be razed along with the later built manager's quarters. The original tack shed, along with the original shed/garage that covered Miss Christine's classic car for so many years, will be preserved.
Below is presented a gallery of the process; from cutting down the huge cottonwood trees which had died, to cleaning up the damaged barn, repairing the windmill to provide water to the original tank pond, fabricating and erecting the Mallet Ranch gate, and shredding weeds and removal of invasive mesquite around the original ranch house.
